150 people. Music, performances, laughter. All brought together by one shared conviction: advancing menstrual justice.
On June 2, 2026, we held our Annual Gala, one of Monthly Dignity’s most important nights of the year. It’s when we pause to look back on how far we’ve come and thank the people who make our mission possible. Months of preparation (and no small amount of stress) go into this night, but once the doors open, all of that gives way to good conversation, laughter, and the simple joy of being together.
What struck us most this year was the range of people in the room. Longtime supporters and first-timers, volunteers and donors, friends and strangers – for one night, they all ended up in the same room, cheering for the same thing. That’s really how our community grows: not through a slogan, but through nights like this one, where people show up, meet each other, and leave a little more invested in the fight for menstrual justice.
Let the celebrations begin
We were thrilled to welcome Eva Alexopoulos for a highly anticipated comedy set. She’s a returning favorite for those who caught her last year, and she didn’t disappoint.
Joining her was Tamara Shevon, who made the trip in from Toronto just for us, and what a discovery she was. Her infectious energy and sharp humor won the room over from the very first line.
Velma Jones treated us to two unforgettable drag performances, including one featuring her now-iconic tampon costume, first debuted on her season of Canada’s Drag Race.
To close out the night, DJ Thatz kept everyone dancing to all our favorite pop hits.
Together, these four incredible artists turned the evening into something truly memorable, full of joy, laughter, and energy, all in service of a cause close to our hearts. We are thankful to each of them for their trust and their presence.
Throughout the night, our partners and donors allowed us to host an exceptional raffle: 22 prizes up for grabs. Habs tickets, an original painting, Lindt chocolates, coffee, sports experiences, show tickets, and much more were on offer. Every dollar raised went straight toward our work for menstrual justice.

The first 100 guests to arrive also went home with a welcome gift from L’Oréal Paris and La Vie en Rose, and our partners and guests alike were spoiled thanks to L’Oréal Paris, Garnier, and La Vie en Rose. 💜
What we're taking away from the night
When the lights came back up, it wasn’t the headcount that stuck with us, it was the sense of belonging that keeps growing year after year. A dedicated team, loyal volunteers, generous partners, inspiring artists, and a room full of people who each believe, in their own way, that menstrual equity is possible.
That energy translated into real impact, as well. Thanks to your generosity, we raised close to $3,000 to support our mission. Every dollar goes directly toward our workshops, our menstrual product deliveries, and our advocacy work. We were also deeply moved by the messages we received after the event, some of you shared how much this year’s edition stayed with you, while others reached out to explore future collaborations. For us, that’s the clearest sign the conversation keeps going long after the night ends.
There’s still a lot of work ahead in the fight for menstrual justice. But after an evening like this , one thing is certain: more and more of us are carrying this passion forward together. Thank you for being there, for laughing with us, and for helping bring this mission to life. We’re already looking forward to seeing you next year for another edition of our Gala. 💜
